1. It takes too long to get started in Eve. - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
You can train a 4/3 split in the learning skills in like 4 days. From there you could be flying a cruiser in 3 or 4 days, and have all the important support skills to three in the first couple weeks. All the while you can be doing the rookie missi...

2. MAcros gone???? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Quote: If Macro Miners pay for their accounts with isk from profits they made macro mining, how is this paying for 24% of subs? Think about it. a plex must be created by buying one with IRL cash, therefore banning a macro account is lo...

3. How many *players* does EVE have? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
If we make a reasonable assumption of 40k people online at a given time, and the estimate of 150k is correct, that would imply that the average eve player plays for over 6 hours a day, which seems high. I think that there are at least 225k unique ...

5. men shaving legs - in Out of Pod Experience [original thread]
Edited by: Delta Ecks on 17/06/2009 09:30:51 I shave my legs. Certainly not normal; but it's not like I'm making a statement or anything, I just dislike body hair. Although truthfully I am wearing jeans 99% of the time when I'm in public. To b...

6. Eve encourages bad behavior - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Quote: behavior in game needs to have consequences Why? Why does the game need to be or do anything? Games exist to provide entertainment, and eve fits a certain niche, "hardcore" if you will, in which griefing and non-consensual pvp is ...

8. Vexor fit for PvE lvl 2 missioning - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Shield tanking seems to be much better for PVE in cruisers, they are cap stable, have much higher EHP, higher dps tanked, and require no micro so disconnecting isn't a problem. The disadvantage is that you can't really run salvagers/tractors, nor ...

9. This game actually improves my work life - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Delta Ecks on 13/06/2009 00:15:51 While I realize funding a PVP habit with real world money makes sense, I think it can be a slippery slope. I too am in college, with a part time job (that I more or less hate, mainly because I'm a w...

11. offensive name question - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I gather that the naming policy is basically "the gms disgression". How strict are they in this regard? Could the name "Combusty" be construed as offensive?

12. [proposition] macros: no, not that kind - in Assembly Hall [original thread]

14. [proposition] macros: no, not that kind - in Assembly Hall [original thread]
Of course it would be very important to heavily restrict what can and can't be done, but you must understand that we are talking about a few commands. Add a few restrictions, and there isn't really any room for abuse, simply convenience. -macros...

15. [proposition] macros: no, not that kind - in Assembly Hall [original thread]
I've seen at least three threads requesting different types of hotkey support for various aspects of the game. It needs attention. Why don't we just have a macro system like every other mmo? for example: /orbit t1 30k /lock fleetassist /launch d...
